Enemies no longer drop loot during a Ritual.  You get Gold and Essence (Mana) from Blackthorn Castle and Dustwinder Canyon Oupost.  They drop Gold and Mana every 8 hours, and the amount you receive depends on how many Stars you have in the Campaign
