Badge Recipe Optimizations

We are so excited to share something we’ve been working on for some time now - the optimization of Badge Recipes in Ranks E+0 to E+5!

This brings a lot of advantages, but the biggest one is an improved game performance which will reduce lag overall and ensure that game servers are in a much more stable and efficient state.

The Badge crafting system is being simplified to follow the shard-based system already in use for Emerald+6 and above. This update will streamline the process and unify the way Badges are crafted across all Emerald Ranks:

  • As part of this change, certain Badges will be removed from the game, and Heroes will receive new and updated Badges from Emerald+0 to Emerald+5 to reflect the new system.

  • Additionally, the crafting costs for Badges in these rarities will increase, and Badges in these rarities will also have their Gold and Diamond Market costs adjusted, along with an increase in their sell value.

  • The Main Campaign Chapters 72 to 77 will also see adjustments.

  • Stamina costs for these chapters will increase (since the total number of raids or battles needed to farm badges will greatly decrease), and loot tables will be revised to ensure players will only need to raid one chapter for one rank of Emerald Badges.

  • Additionally, Gold rewards for clearing Main Campaign stages will increase to align with the improved rewards seen in Emerald+6 and beyond.

  • Stamina gains and thresholds for the reworked Emerald Chapters will increase to reflect the new increase on Chapters 72-77 Stamina Costs.

  • Team Trials loot has been updated to reflect the changes made to Badge Recipes.

  • To help mitigate the overall cost increases for Emerald+0 to Emerald+5, the cost progression for Emerald 6 and higher will be smoothed out.

    • This adjustment will create a more gradual increase in costs, reducing the resource burden on players as they progress through higher ranks.

We plan to keep optimizing Badge Recipes for more Ranks down the road, which will bring improved game performance along the next few months!

Merchants Refresh

We have some more updates to share with you in our Merchants Refresh!

This time, we’ve added a dynamic discount system to Chapter Badges:

  • Badges that belong to Chapters that are 10 or more Chapters earlier than the current Chapter will be discounted

  • This ensures a more balanced promoting of Hero Rarities for newer players and/or Heroes in lower Rarities

As mentioned previously, we are making more changes and updates to this system, so stay tuned!

Improvements

  • New Guild Perks

    • Added 5 levels to Car Bonuses 1-6

    • Added 1 level for the Guild Influence Storage perk

    • We will be stopping these increases in a near update, so stay tuned!

    • If you have any suggestions of the type of guild perks you’d like to see in the future, let us know!

  • Buy More Guild Crates

    • Tired of buying Guild Crates one at a time?

    • Not anymore! We’ve added 2 new buttons besides the Buy 1 Guild Crate button

      • Buy 100 - buys you 100 Guild crates in one tap (if you have enough resources)

      • Buy All - takes all your Guild Influence and buys you all Guild Crates you can!

  • Aggregating of Combat Buff Icons

    • We’ve cleaned up the mess of combat buff icons in the combat screens and aggregated all icons of the same type into one, with the corresponding number of buffs right next to it

    • This brings a smoother combat experience, less lag and more visibility to the cool animations our Heroes are playing while fighting

  • Battle Pass Icon

    • After several complaints of the current BP Hero icon leaving the main menu after a few days, we made sure this icon is always present throughout the entire BP duration

  • Duplicate Badges

    • We noticed there were quite a few instances of Heroes having duplicate Badges in certain Rarities

    • This was causing bugs to occur in the Power Promote system

    • We’ve swapped out duplicate Badges with new ones to mitigate this issue

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the Events/Deals page list was snapping back to the featured event/deal every few seconds

  • Fixed a bug where players couldn’t do Max Hero Level Up

Winter Break

  • Planning ahead for Winter Break coming up this December, most of the team will be out for 2 weeks at the end of the year

  • Due to this, DHBM’s 6.8 release will go live 1 week earlier than scheduled, on December 17th (3 weeks after 6.7’s release)

    • Despite this, Hero Releases should follow the same cadence and schedule as before

  • After that 6.8-A will go live 3 weeks after 6.8

  • From 6.8-A forward we’re back to our normal release schedule!
