Skills
Skull Check
Passive: Héctor Rivera begins the battle by converting his Basic Damage and Skill Power into negative values. He scales inversely, the lower these stats become, the stronger he gets. Allies cannot Cleanse, apply Hardy stacks, Skill Power, or Basic Damage buffs to Héctor.
His Basic Attacks deal Normal Damage to all enemies, Scaring them and reducing their Basic Damage and Skill Power for a few seconds.
Active: Héctor removes his head, and taps a few times lowering his own Basic Damage and Skill Power, up to a maximum amount.

Memory Pose
Héctor Rivera pulls out a photo of himself, absorbing all Basic Damage and Skill Power debuffs from his allies to himself.
He then gains HP Shield, and bonus HP Shield for each Basic Damage or Skill Power debuff he has. This Shield lasts for a few seconds.

Héctor Rivera uses his arm like an arrow whenever an enemy becomes “Most Wanted”, dealing Normal Damage to them, and giving a percent of Héctor’s Basic Damage and Skill Power for a few seconds.

Skull Scarf
Héctor Rivera and his allies are Immune to Scare. When an enemy attempts to Scare them, the targeted ally instead gains a percent of Increased Damage Dealt for a few seconds. Additionally, Héctor deals Fantastic Damage per second to all enemies that are Scared.
Whenever his allies accumulate more than a certain amount of removable Basic Damage or Skill Power debuffs, Héctor instantly activates “Memory Pose”. This effect can only occur once every few seconds.

XP Changes
Did someone ask for some much needed changes to the XP Rewards? Well, look no further!
In this update, we’ve made significant changes and improvements to the XP Economy.
As part of our efforts in improving the game’s economies, we want to make sure that anytime we reward XP feels impactful and makes sense. We noticed that XP was rewarded in small amounts in too many places, which made gathering them a chore. With these changes, we hope to make gameplay more straightforward while overall increasing the amount of total XP drinks rewarded.
Here is a list of the changes:
Docks
Increase XP rewards for all stages following Super-Brutal difficulty
Main Campaign
- Reworked Chapters 1-5 first clear rewards to include XP drinks.
- Reworked XP formula in the Main Campaign to scale correctly with each increase in Chapter.
Markets
- Removed XP Drinks from the Following Markets:
- Arena
- Surge
- City Watch
- Coliseum
- Heist
- War
- Removed XP Drinks from the Following Markets:
Arena & Coliseum
- Increased daily XP rewards for Arena
- Decreased daily XP rewards from Coliseum
Daily Quests & Sign-In
- Replaced XP rewards from daily quests with Gold and Mission Speed-Ups
- Reworked the XP formula from Daily Sign-In to grant increased rewards
Invasion
Replaced XP rewards with Mod Fragments and Mod Upgrade Pieces.
Guild Check-In
Reworked the XP formula from Guild Check-In to grant increased rewards
Battle Pass
Reworked the XP formula in the Battle Pass to grant increased rewards
We’ll be closely monitoring the results over the next few months and will make further adjustments if needed. We have additional plans in the future to further improve this system, and will keep you posted as they come to life!
Coming Soon: Guild War Update
We’re super excited to announce an upcoming major overhaul to the current Guild War game mode in DHBM!
We’re aiming to release these changes in the next update 7.4, but you may find below what these changes are so you can plan ahead! At the moment, we are undergoing testing of the following feature changes:
Ban & Protect System
- Guilds will be able to strategically block enemy heroes from being used in War while safeguarding their own key heroes from being banned. (This system takes into account different tiers, where less heroes will be able to be banned and protected and additionally match-ups between guilds within different tiers as to balance things out)
- The Off-Duty Hero system will be deprecated
War Spars
Guilds will be able to use a limited special type of War Spars, where everything is taken into account, from sabotage values to war car bonuses. Guilds can increase the number of War Spars with a new Guild Perk.
Spars Combat Accuracy Improvements
Spars behaviour is improved to better match other combat modes in DH.
Decrease in War Car Bonuses
Reworked Sabotage and new Sabotage Features
- Old Sabotage features were revised and reworked.
- New Sabotage features are going to be introduced.
Ranks Permission Adjustments
We worked collaboratively with the community to introduce a revision to a standardized set of guild permissions for each rank.
The Guild War end time will change, wrapping up several hours earlier, at a time we will be announcing in the next update
Please keep in mind that because these changes are still undergoing testing, there may be revisions to these changes by 7.4, but please feel free to share feedback about our plans!
Heist Game Mode
As previously mentioned in the State of the Game 2025 Post, we are planning to remove Heist as an ever present game mode.
Our goal is to streamline the gameplay experience one step at a time, focusing on game modes that are optimized, bring interesting rewards and overall engagement to DHBM.
Heist will be removed as an ever present game mode in client release 7.4
We will also be removing Heist Coins & Shop.
We’re giving this heads up so you can prepare and spend your Heist Coins ahead of time. All Heist related quests will be removed as well. To help make use of your leftover Heist Coins, there will be a limited-time Heist event crate throughout the rest of the month. The Heist Coins will be fully removed from your inventory in that following update, 7.4, so use them before they’re gone!
We plan to compensate players for this removal over the next weeks, so stay tuned!
The long term goal is to bring Heist back later in the year/early 2026, as a limited-time event.
